With COVID-19 going around and many physical classes going online or have been closed down, and it is during the holiday season for most students, it is normal to find nothing to do at home. Finding something to learn is one productive way to make use of this COVID-19 quarantine season. Here are 4 online classes you can take and the best part, its free. You heard that right, FREE.
They have a user-friendly interface, for both and mobile apps (yes they have an app too) and provides 30+ languages, which includes unique ones like High valyrian, Klingon and Navajo. Its no surprise they are one of the most commonly known to go for language classes. They teach you languages in simple and easy to follow methods, like showing pictures, matching phrases and sentence formation. Over the years, they have evolved from just the standard learning classes. Now, they have a podcast where you can listen to stories in the language you’re learning and take part in stories where you fill in the blanks. Once COVID-19 is over, you can finally go travelling without worrying about language barriers!

Facebook has acquired Instagram and now that most businesses are using either Facebook or Instagram, it is important to know how either of these work for advertising. Besides, everyone is using either one of these platforms or has heard about it so it makes sense to do advertising there. Facebook blueprint basically teaches you how to do advertising on Facebook and Instagram (which can be managed via Facebook business manager).
Added bonus: All courses are divided into several bite-sized topics (ranging from 5 minutes to 30 minutes), which are explained in concise paragraphs and HD photographs. Making it easy to remember!
edX is home to more than 20 million learners, the majority of top-ranked universities in the world and industry-leading companies. They have a wide range of courses available that it would be easier to show the picture above than listing it all down. Now you have no excuse to say that there is nothing to learn! However, not all their courses are free so do be careful and keep a lookout! For those courses that are free, if you would like a verified certificate , you need to pay. But obviously, they will state the fees so you know what you are getting yourself into. You need to create an account in order to enroll in the courses
Added bonus: For each course, they provide all the necessary information and make it clear to you so you know what you’re getting. Information includes: who is the teacher, who is the course for , course information (what you will learn) , the length, effort to learn, language it is taught in and any prerequisites.
Those who wanted to go to community centers for classes but did not have the time, this one’s for you! People’s Association has moved online with their classes and onto Facebook. Every working weekday (or at least until the circuit breaker is over), from 1030am to 530pm, there are courses via Facebook live where you can join in on the lessons. And if you missed a live lesson, you can re-watch it again on their Facebook page. If you do not want to watch via Facebook live, you can catch it on their YouTube channel.
